Mini Sport Low Ratio Crown Wheel & Pinion - Cooper S Getrag - R53

Designed and Developed by the Mini Sport Rally Department to lower the final drive ratio on the Getrag standard 6 speed Cooper S gearbox.

This allows for a significant increase in acceleration whilst giving a small reduction in top speed.

Revised drive ratios;

1st/2nd and 5th/6th : 3.467
3rd/4th: 5:1

Total top speed comparison:
Standard final drive: 7200rpm 6th gear, 176mph
Mini Sport final drive: 7200rpm 6th gear, 144mph

Can be fitted to the standard R53 Cooper S 6 speed Getrag gearbox.

As used by the Mini Sport Sport Rally Team.
